We are very glad to welcome our newest faculty member Dr. Srdjan Lukic to SPEC. Dr. Lukic received his Ph.D. from Illinois Institute of Technology with a background in power electronics and motor drive.

This year, NCSU is forming a new Advanced Transportation Energy Center (ATEC) to lead the research and education program related to Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and its interactions with the electric power grid. ATEC will be co-located with SPEC.

I would also like to congratulate the following students who graduated recently from our center: Dr. Bin Chen (now with Texas Instrument), Dr. Yan Gao (now with International Rectifier), Mr. Jifeng Qin (now with Intersil), Mr. Rahul Godbole (now with Mentor Graphic), Ms. Juming Lai (now with Areva), Dr. Chong Han (now with ABB), Dr. Jinsang Kim (now with EPRI).
